Summarise conversations in spaces

To stay updated on long, unread conversations in spaces where you're a member, use conversation summaries. When you turn on conversation summaries, they can:

• Appear when necessary in conversations.
• Summarise conversations in English.

Important: Conversation summaries are only available for Google Workspace accounts.

Turn conversation summary on and off in Google Chat

1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Chat app .
2. In the top left, tap Menu   Settings .
3. Scroll to 'General'.
4. Turn 'Conversation summaries' on or off.

Turn conversation summary on and off in Gmail

1. On your Android phone or tablet, open Gmail .
2. Tap Menu   Settings .
3. Select your account.
4. Scroll to 'General'.
5. Tick or untick the box next to 'Conversation summaries'.
