Learn about custom emojis in Google Chat

Create and share custom emojis with your organisation through Google Chat. Use your custom emojis to personalise messages and share your team's culture.

Important:

• Custom emojis are only available for work and school accounts.
• Your administrator can turn custom emojis on or off. Find out who your administrator is.
• You can't share custom emojis with people outside your organisation.

Use custom emojis in Chat

1. On your iPhone or iPad, go to the Google Chat app  or to the Chat tab in the Gmail app .
2. Tap on a chat conversation.
3. At the bottom right, tap Add emoji .
4. Tap on Custom emojis  to open all of your organisation's custom emojis.

Find your custom emojis

1. On your iPhone or iPad, go to the Google Chat app  or to the Chat tab in the Gmail app .
2. Tap on a chat conversation.
3. At the bottom right, tap Add emoji .
4. Tap Custom emojis   Manage.

Tip: You can search for custom emojis by name.
