Overview of designing and placing a QR viewer profile

Once you've generated your viewer profile, you should have a viewer profile QR code that looks similar to this: 

The generated QR profile encodes the viewer lens parameters, input details, names, etc.

Users will be prompted to scan this profile upon installing Google Cardboard apps for Android and iOS, so this QR profile should be clearly placed on the device. It’s recommended that you place this generated QR profile in three places:

  • On your physical viewer
  • On the viewer’s packaging
  • On the viewer’s website
