Manage landing pages

About landing pages in Campaign Manager 360

A landing page is the final page to direct people to when they click or tap your ad. Campaign Manager 360 landing pages support destinations for web and apps. You can create a single landing page that contains up to three destinations:

  • URL: A URL that leads to a page on a website.
  • Custom Android deep link: A custom deep link (non http-based) to your Android app that will serve for in-app ads on Android devices to users who have the app installed. This lets you send users in apps on Android devices directly to your app.
  • Custom iOS deep link: A custom deep link (non http-based) to your iOS app that will serve for in-app ads on iOS devices to users on an audience list that you select. The audience list should contain users who have installed the app so that the landing page sends users in apps on iOS devices directly to your app.

If you use a landing page that contains a URL and custom deep links, Campaign Manager 360 will serve the correct link based on the user’s device , environment, and whether your app is installed.

Using custom deep links as landing pages

You can set custom Android or iOS deep links as a landing page. This lets you drive users to richer, contextual pages within your app from in-app ads. Custom deep links are set up by your app developer and are usually formatted like myapp://example. They consist of the deep link to your app, as well as a fallback URL.

  • Custom Android deep links: If Android users have your app installed, Campaign Manager 360 serves the deep link for ads viewed in an app. If a user doesn’t have the app installed, Campaign Manager 360 serves the fallback URL.
  • Custom iOS deep link: If a user is on an audience list you specify, Campaign Manager 360 serves the deep link for ads viewed in an app. If a user isn’t on the audience list, Campaign Manager 360 serves the fallback URL.

In order to use custom deep links as landing pages, the custom schema for your app must be allowed. Contact support to begin this process.

Create and manage landing pages from your advertiser

You can manage landing pages across your advertiser from the Landing pages tab. From this tab, you can create new individual landing pages, bulk upload URL landing pages, and make changes to existing landing pages that will update across your advertiser. 

After you create a landing page in your advertiser, you can reuse it in all of that advertiser's campaigns, ads, and creatives. 

Create a new landing page

To create a new landing page to use across your advertiser:

  1. Navigate to the Landing pages tab of your advertiser.
  2. Click New > Landing page. 
  3. Enter a name for your landing page. This will be used to identify the landing page in Campaign Manager 360 and is never visible to people who view or click your ads. 
  4. Enter the URL for your landing page.  
  5. (Optional) Enter the custom Android deep link for your landing page. 
    1. Search for your Android app. 
    2. Enter the custom deep link for your app. 
    3. Enter the fallback URL.
  6. (Optional) Enter the custom iOS deep link for your landing page. 
    1. Search for your iOS app. 
    2. Select the audience list to use with your custom iOS deep link. 
    3. Enter the custom deep link for your app. 
    4. Enter the fallback URL. 
  7. Click Save

Batch upload URLs to use as landing pages

You can batch upload URLs to use as landing pages.

  1. Navigate to the Landing pages tab of your advertiser.
  2. Click New > Batch upload URLs.
  3. Paste in rows of URLs from a spreadsheet. Your spreadsheet of landing pages must have a specific format: Enter one landing page per row. In the first column, enter a name for your landing page. In the second column, enter the URL. Do not include any other columns or values. Do not include the column headers. Only paste in the rows.
  4. Click Save

You cannot batch upload custom deep links to use as landing pages. 

Archive landing pages

You can archive landing pages to filter them from your list of landing pages. Archiving will not prevent a landing page from serving - it will just remove it from your list. To archive a landing page:
  1. Navigate to the Landing pages tab of your advertiser.
  2. Check the landing pages your want to archive.
  3. Select Archive

To restore a landing page:

  1. Navigate to the Landing pages tab of your advertiser. 
  2. In the search filter, change the filter to show archived landing pages. 
  3. Check the landing pages you want to restore.
  4. Select Restore

 

Create and manage landing pages from your campaign

Set landing pages in campaign properties

There are multiple ways to set landing pages in your campaign properties:

  • Pick from a list of advertiser landing pages.
  • Create a new landing page and edit existing landing pages. This landing page will be saved in your advertiser landing page list. 
  • Bulk upload URL landing pages. These landing pages will be saved in your advertiser landing page list.
  • Set a custom landing page to use just within that campaign. Custom landing pages will not be saved in your advertiser landing page list. They only support http-based URLs and not custom deep links. 

Landing pages in your campaign view

From your campaign view, you can see and edit all the landing pages used across your campaign. 

To view landing pages:

  1. Find the "Views" menu at the top of your campaign. Click Views > Customize views.
  2. Under "Hierarchy," enable "Ad," Creative," and "Exit event / click tag." Under "Basic properties," enable "Landing page." Then save your custom view (or just close the view menu).
  3. The landing pages used are shown in the "Landing page" column. Each click tag and exit event is in its own row. The "Landing page" column shows which URLs they will use for each ad.

Note that your "Views" menu also includes a default view of "Views > Creatives and click tags / exit events," which can be useful if you just want to edit creative-level landing pages. But this view doesn't allow you to edit all types of landing pages, or to see ad-level settings.

See the section below about managing landing pages for ads and creatives to learn how to bulk edit these landing pages from your campaign view. This option is only available if you select multiple of the same type of item, such as only click tags, only exit events, or only creatives (for image, in-stream, custom, or tracking creatives). 

Manage landing pages for ads and creatives

You can choose whether to use landing pages set in your ad or your creative based on your needs:

  • Creative-level landing pages allow you to use the same landing page across multiple ads.
  • Ad-level landing pages allow you to set a different landing page for each assigned ad.

Campaign Manager 360 handles landing pages differently depending on creative type. 

Landing page behavior based on creative type
  • Display with HTML5 and rich media: Your ad-level settings override your creative-level landing page. If you want to use the landing page in your creative settings for an ad, remove the ad-level landing page. Campaign Manager 360 will only use an exit event landing page in your creative if there is no ad-level landing page.
  • Display with image, custom, tracking, in-stream: These creative types use a landing page you set in the assigned ad. There are no creative-level landing pages.

Set landing pages in ads and creatives

There are two ways to set landing pages on ads and creatives:

  • Pick from a list of existing landing pages.
    • From an ad, you'll see landing pages from its associated campaign. 
    • From a creative, you'll see landing pages from your advertiser list. 
  • Set a custom landing page URL to use just on that ad or creative.

Display with HTML5 and rich media: Use creative-level landing pages

Edit individual ads to use creative-level landing pages:

  1. Navigate to the Creative assignments section of an ad. 

  2. Scroll over to the "Landing page" column. 

  3. Select Use creative default.

  4. Save. 

In-line edit from your campaign view:

  1. Find your exit event beneath the ad you want to change. Then click the field in the "Landing page" column.

  2. Select Use creative-level landing page.

  3. Pick from a list of advertiser landing pages or set a custom landing page. 

    Remember that this will change the landing page in the creative settings, so any other ads that are set to use the creative-level landing page will use this landing page as well.

  4. Click Save.

Bulk edit from your campaign view:

  1. Select exit rows beneath each ad where you want to use the creative-level landing page.

  2. Click Edit multiple and select the "Landing page" checkbox.

  3. Set the radio button to Use creative-level landing page.

  4. Pick from a list of advertiser landing pages or set a custom landing page. This URL will be used for every ad affected by your bulk edit.

  5. Click Make changes.

Display with HTML5 and rich media: Use ad-level landing pages

Edit individual ads:

  1. Navigate to the Creative assignments section of an ad. 

  2. Scroll over to the "Landing page" column. 

  3. Pick from a list of campaign landing pages or set a custom landing page. If your creative has multiple exits, you can set the landing page for each exit. 

  4. Save. 

In-line edit from your campaign view:

  1. Find your exit beneath the ad you want to change. Then click the field in the "Landing page" column.

  2. Select Use ad-level landing page.

  3. Pick from a list of campaign landing pages or set a custom landing page. This will only change the landing page for one ad.

    The landing page you set here corresponds to the landing page for this exit in your in the "Landing page" column in the "Creative assignments" for an ad.

  4. Click Save.

Bulk edit from your campaign view:

  1. Select exit rows beneath each ad where you want to use the ad-level landing page.

  2. Click Edit multiple and select the "Landing page" checkbox.

  3. Set the radio button to Use ad-level landing page.

  4. Pick from a list of campaign landing pages or set a custom landing page.

  5. Click Make changes.

Display with image, custom, tracking, in-stream video: Use ad-level landing pages

You can only set landing pages at the ad level for these creative types.  

In-line edit from your campaign view:

  1. Find your creative's row beneath the ad you want to change. Then click the field in the "Landing page" column.

  2. Pick from a list of campaign landing pages or set a custom landing page. This URL will be used for the ad shown above your creative.

Bulk edit from your campaign view:

  1. Select creatives beneath each ad you want to change. Don't select the ads, just the creatives.

  2. Click Edit multiple and select the "Landing page" checkbox.

  3. Pick from a list of campaign landing pages or set a custom landing page.

    The landing page you set here will be used for all the ads shown above the creatives you selected.

  4. Click Make changes.

 
To test your landing page, hover over the “Go to link“ icon to the left of the URL . A pop-up appears with a clickable version of your link. Click the link to open the landing page. Note: Because some characters (such as macros) may be optimized in the clickable link, it might not show the exact URL you entered.
