Allow enhanced conversions for Floodlight

Enhanced conversions sends hashed first party conversion data to your Floodlight tags in a privacy safe way. When you enable enhanced conversions in Campaign Manager 360, you can start using enhanced conversions in the new Search Ads 360. Learn more about enhanced conversions in the new Search Ads 360.

Google is committed to protecting the confidentiality and security of your data. Your data will be kept confidential and secure using the same industry-leading standards Google uses to protect its own users’ data. Google only reports aggregated and anonymized conversions.

Allow enhanced conversions for a Floodlight configuration

Before you can set up enhanced conversions, you need to agree to the terms of service and turn on enhanced conversions for the Floodlight configuration you want to use.

  1. Navigate to an advertiser.
  2. Click on Floodlight > Configuration.
  3. Under “Enhanced conversions”, select the checkbox below the compliance statement to agree to the terms of service.
    • By turning on enhanced conversions, you confirm you’ve reviewed the terms of service for enhanced conversions in Floodlight and accept them on behalf of the Company. Note that this checkbox can’t be unchecked.
  4. If you are using Google Tag, check the “Turn on enhanced conversions” checkbox to allow enhanced conversions.
  5. Click Save.

Allow enhanced conversions for a Floodlight activity

If you are setting up enhanced conversions with Google tag, you need to allow enhanced conversions for each Floodlight activity you want to use. Note that user-provided data will not be collected unless enhanced conversions is also turned on in your Floodlight configuration.

  1. Navigate to a Floodlight activity that uses Google tag. The “tag format” field should have “Global site tag” selected.
  2. Under “Enhanced conversions”, select the “Add user-provided parameters to the tag preview” checkbox.
  3. Click Save.

Campaign Manager 360 will generate an event snippet with a new user_data field. Add this event snippet to pages with events that you’re tracking, after the global snippet.
