Why I'm not receiving calendar invites to my Gmail?

Hello,

For the last few weeks, I have not been receiving calendar event invites to my Gmail.
If the invitation is from another Gmail account I can see it on my calendar but still, I'm not receiving it to my mail. even when I search "Invitation:" in my Inbox I can't find it.

So far I did the following:
  1. I checked my calendar settings for new event notifications are enabled and notified via email
  2. Checked if the invites are blocked or marked as spam by mistake - nothing in the spam folder
  3. log out from my account and sign in again after restarting my device (MacBook Pro-2018)
Nothing!
I run out of Ideas, Please help!

Thanks,
Ron

Try this:
  1. Open a desktop browser and log in to Google Calendar.
  2. Click the gear icon (top right of the screen for me) and open Settings
  3. Under "Settings for my calendars" choose your default calendar
  4. Scroll down to "General Notifications" and change the "New Events" dropdown to "email"
I think this General Notifications setting is what's missing.  Mine was set to "none" by default.

We're having the same issues in our organization. Curious.

Zac Chr's suggestion was a good lead. I changed my settings and now I'm just waiting to see if it worked.

Thanks Zac Chr!!!!  Your suggestion fixed the issue for me and my wife.  Whew!... I was about to fire Google Calendar and Gmail.

That didn't work for me.  Under "New Events" the drop down is already set to "email".  All of a sudden I just stopped getting email requests.  I do not have the Google ap on my phone.  I just access my gmail calendar on a desktop browser.  I can see them and respond to them on my regular calendar ap on my iphone but they are not coming into my email (Gmail account) and they are not showing up on my calendar.  This just started happening and it's very frustrating.  Why would these calendar requests show up in the calendar ap on my phone for me to reply but not to my gmail account and even after replying in the calendar app why are they not showing up on my gmail calendar?  These are all being sent to the correct email account.  Any ideas why this all of a sudden started happening and how to fix this?

My wife and I both have Galaxy Notes, I was not able to receive invites from my wife's gmail calendar to my gmail calendar. I fixed the issue by changing her phones power saving mode from medium to high performance. For some reason in medium performance mode the calendar would not automatically or manually sync. As soon and her phone updated performance preferences I received all of the pending calendar invites. I hope this helps!

Thanks Zac Chr!!!!
This worked!

Just wish I knew WHY my general notification settings were RESET to none...

Same issue

I am having the same issue and I've tried all the suggestions. It stopped working about a month ago. I am getting the invites in Apple Calendar but not Google Calendar which is my preferred calendar. I don't get them in my email, only appear as an Apple Calendar notification on my desktop. No gmail. Very strange!

I had this same problem: events would show up on my calendar, but I would not receive an email in Gmail with the invitation.  I think I found the solution:

1.) Click on the "gear" icon in the upper right hand corner of Google Calendar and select Settings.
2.) On the left hand rail, under "Settings for my Calendars," click on the calendar you are trying to fix.
3.) Scroll down to (or select on the left hand rail) "General Notifications."
4.) Your "New events" setting is likely on "None."  Select "Email" from the drop down menu.  You probably ought to select "Email" for "Changed events" and "Cancelled events," too.

It seems like Google may move things around in Settings fairly frequently, but some combination of the above will hopefully work.

Same issue. Not used this support before but is the idea of this forum that google's customers come here and ask each other for advice on google's product? Shoudnt google (who know their products inside out) be on here answering questions, rather than all of us just "having a go?"

I have all my notifications set to send me an email whether its a new event, change of event etc and I don't get any emails. However my dad is notified. Our settings and iphones are identical. Very frustrating

Same issue. My wife is sending me invitations, that I am genuinely interested in knowing about, but don't involve me. They are being slotted into my calendar as BUSY without notifying me, and thus clients can't book meetings in those slots because the calendar won't allow double-bookings. Of course, I am unaware that my wife sent me the invitation in the first place, so I can't - in advance - go to the event and set it as FREE. VERY ANNOYING.
