So after an event time has past, the GCal widget will no longer show the event. I am wondering if there is a setting that can allow the widget to show events all day long, even after the event is over.

No since its an event, it makes the assumption that you no longer need to know about it after its over.

Surely there must be some setting that allows this. I wonder if I set the end time of each calendar event for the end of the day could that solve my issue.
