How do I move a calendar from my "Other Calendars" list to my "My Calendars" list?

Unfortunately, the answer provided by dopstart does not allow you to transfer an entire calendar you don't own to one you do, you would have to go event by event. Neil G has pointed out that copying a calendar you don't own necessarily prevents the calendar from being updated in the future by the original owner. However, I don't care about this. I simply have my own system for the calendars I control (a "work" calendar, a "home" calendar, etc.) and I don't want to deal with looking at a new calendar whenever I go to another conference.

The technique of downloading the ics file and reimporting it works, but it feels inefficient. Is there really no "Copy Calendar" option anywhere that will just add all the contents of a calendar to another?

Im the owner of all the calendars. I imported them and its not allowing me to change anything in any of them. I attempted the instructions, but it does not download as you stated it would.

and If ou IMPORT before you hit "add calendar" it deletes the title you gave the new calendar and adds it to your main calendar. I just had to manually delete all the events that should have been uploaded as the NEW calendar, off my main one. PLEASE HELP.

For the Calendar I want to import, there is no option for "Public address in iCal format".  I just want to import all of the events from this "other calendar" into my calendar.  I can do one event at a time, but this is painful.  I am OK that the events are now static and won't be updated.

Hi the iCal address is available only for "my calendars" but not for "other calendars". Does this mean we can't synchronize "other calendars"?

Hi, if you've added "Interesting Calendars" from Google then you can't see the iCal feed URL in the settings, but you can generate it like this:

Go to the settings for the Other Calendar, and note down the Public URL to this calendar, for example:

https://calendar.google.com/calendar/embed?src=en-gb.christian%23holiday%40group.v.calendar.google.com&ctz=Europe%2FParis

Now take the part after 'src=' up to and including 'calendar.google.com'

so in this case our subscribed calendar ID is

en-gb.christian%23holiday%40group.v.calendar.google.com

Now replace the ********** here with that text:

https://calendar.google.com/calendar/ical/**********/public/basic.ics

to give the final feed URL which you can download directly in your browser:

You can then import the .ics file into a new Secondary Calendar, for example, and cancel the original subscription.  The Secondary Calendar will appear under "My Calendars", and you can edit the calendar, share it etc. as you would with any of your own calendars.

Hi Billy, you can paste the part after webcal:// into your browsers address bar to download the ics file: for the feed you linked to, the download URL would be :
