How do I ensure that public calendar private default settings also work for invited meetings? 0 Recommended Answers 1 Reply 0 Upvotes
Hi, I am having some concerns with the privacy and visibility settings of my google calendar. Specifically, I have set up my calendar to public so I can see it in my outlook using the .ics link. However, since my outlook is used only for work activities, I do not want any of my private information to appear. So far, when I create an event directly in my google calendar it does show up as "free/busy" in my outlook as expected. However, when I create an event in my google calendar through my "Windows Mail" application or when I accept a meeting invite from others, I can see all of the event details in my outlook as if the "Private" (Free/busy) default visibility setting does not kick in. Therefore, I would like to know how I can assure that the default visibility setting "Private" (Free/busy) works regardless of the source of the meeting invite for a public calendar. Please advise.
