How to create time zone agnostic all-day calendar events? 0 Recommended Answers 4 Replies 3 Upvotes
With my organization having made the transition from Outlook to GMail, I'm struggling to figure out how to schedule an all-day event in a shared calendar in a manner that reflects it being just one day across multiple time zones - something I was able to easily do in Outlook.
The background - my team is split up over two separate time zones, Pacific & Central. We have used a shared calendar to schedule one-off events (team meetings, training, appointments) as well as all-day activities (team member days off, all-day events, holidays, etc.). In this transition, we've discovered the creation of an all-day event in Google Calendar reflects the time zone of the creator - showing either a 10pm the day early start, or 2am the day after end. This has resulted in confusion when we quickly scan the calendar as we previously did in Outlook.
Is there any way to remedy this?
