Can I see who deleted an event on a shared calendar? I put events on the shared calandar and someone is deleting them. I can see the event in the Bin and restore it but someone deletes it again. 1 Recommended Answer 5 Replies 14 Upvotes

This is happening to a friend of mine and it seems as though there should be a way to know who is messing around with her appointments.

Hi, although it would be useful to have access to this information, the real question here is why and to whom you have granted full permissions if they can't be trusted with those permissions... Do you need to give full permissions to so many people that you can't figure out easily who it is? That said, there is also the possibility that nobody is deleting them, and that this is the result of some kind of syncing error, so my advice would be to ask those with permissions if it's them... since you trust them enough to give full read/write access you should also believe what they say, so if everyone says "it wasn't me" take a good look at your sync setup (and that of everyone with full permissions....), and try disabling anything that isn't officially approved by Google to see if the problem is resolved.

Similarly, is there anyway to receive an email when events are deleted from my calendar (that is shared with coworkers)?
It's not that I don't trust my coworkers, its that my appointments are being deleted from my calendar, and I'd just need a notification if they're added or deleted.

There is a way to receive emails when someone adds, updates, or deletes calendar entries.  Go to the Settings and Sharing in the calendar by clicking on the three dots to the right when you hover of the name of the calendar, go to the General Notifications section and change the drop down to email.  We receive an email for all entries, deletions and edits to our calendar for this exact reason.  Good Luck
