I am trying to delete a recurring event, but it keeps reappearing. I've tried from gmail directly, from my IOS device, and from a desktop calendar. No matter what, this one event reappears after a couple of seconds.

I have the same issue and I’ve been trying to fix it for months. Even reported it to google. Let me know if you resolved it.

Same problem. Recurring event that is originating from a Google Calendar and is syncing to multiple devices on my end. I tried deleting it from my iPhone (also deleting all future occurrences), but it popped back after a couple seconds. Tried deleting it from my Desktop iCal (same thing). Then deleted the event via the Google Calendar in a browser. This DID eliminate the event from Google Calendar in the browser, but the event still appears (and will not delete) from all my devices.
I thought maybe the whole sync was broken between the devices and the cal, but I am still able to create new events on the same calendar and it syncs across all devices, so it's not that.....
Ugh. Super annoying little bug here.

Yes. I noticed the problem 2-3 weeks ago. If I delete an event from my iPhone 7plus, whether it’s a single event or a recurring event it reappears. If I delete from google calendar on my HP laptop then it’s fine. Very annoying, since I’m not on the laptop that much. Please Apple or Google fix this problem!!!

I encountered the same problem (using the calendar on Windows laptop and Android phone) when deleting single instances of a recurring event, although for me it reappeared after a longer time (rather than several seconds). What seems to have helped is - after deleting the event from my calendar - to go to 'Bin' under 'Settings' (on my laptop) and permanently delete the event there. Unfortunately this option does not appear to be available in the mobile app...

Hi User 7854978486036041472, You can access the full desktop calendar on mobile Chrome with the browser option "Desktop Site".
