I have had the same event just get added to my calendar, 18:30 - 02:15 everyday from yesterday to the 26th. Holding down to edit just tells me I can't reschedule only propose a new time. My has been in aeroplane mode for the last 8 hours.

Hi again, to those didn't read the above statement, this is a older form of spam that is making a resurgence. Please do not click on the links provided by the event, and please report them with the report option provided by google (By clicking on the event and finding the three vertical dots, then report as spam).

Yeah, you know, this scared the hell out of me, I just would like to know what we all found that resulted in this, though, what website or whatever. That would be the cause of somethin' like this, right?

"Open Google Calendar's settings on a desktop browser and go to Event Settings > Automatically Add Invitations, and then select the option 'No, only show invitations to which I've responded.' Also, under View Options, make sure that 'Show declined events' is unchecked, so malicious events don't haunt you even after you decline them."

I found a mail in my Gmail junk folder. It was the cause of this problem. Probably they can add with a junk mail reminders to your calendar via permission that they already have. You can remove adding reminders via Gmail to your calendar to prevent this. But junk messages adding reminders? Come on! we are way ahead these situations, you can do it Google 😁

It just a scam to sign up and waste $20 on magazines that you might not get. If you read the terms & conditions it just saying you as the customer agreeing to the purchase of the magazines you selected. It repeats over and over through the whole thing. Beating around the bush of maybe you get the prize. If you win a cruise or something like it your still paying for it and whoever going with you. So just a whole scam.

Report inappropriate calendar invites or events
If you see a suspicious invitation or event on your calendar, report it as spam.
Notes:
  • Don’t reply to event invites from your phone. Instead, follow the directions below to report the event as spam on your computer.
  • When you report one event, all events from that organizer will be removed from your calendar.
How to report an event:
  1. On your computer, open Google Calendar.
  2. Double click the event you’d like to report.
  3. At the top, click More Actions  Report as Spam.

Whatever you do don't click that link. i got Russian text in one the events that went to remind every day. There is a guy down lower that has you do some things in calendar even setting. Do that. IF you have multiple emails .. disable all be the one that is the main account for the phone. I've changed the settings in my browser to:No, only display invitations to which I have replied.. And the events are appearing again ( not for all 5 days, but only for two).
It appears as they are events form my husband's side, but he's seeing nothing in his calendar.
Shell I temporarily exclude him from my calendar and then try to delete the events? Or it the scam only in my phone?

What else can I do?
