Google calendar reminders stop working after 2 years of events (730 instances)

Is there a known limitation to the number days of consecutive reminders that you can set for one event on Google Calendar?  What I noticed recently is that my daily reminder (set 730 days previously) has stopped working such that even though I extended it further another month, it wouldn't show up on my calendar.  I didn't even know that it stopped doing that until I looked at my calendar carefully.  Is there a known issue whereby Google Calendar limits the total number of instances of a reminder to repeat no more than 730 times?  I ended up having to discontinue the previous reminder and moved the start date to the current day (from two years ago) in order for it to work again showing daily reminders starting with tomorrow.

Thank you.
