In Google Calendar, you can create, view, and change tasks.
Create a task in Calendar
- Open the Google Calendar app

- Tap Add
Task

- Enter a title and description.
- Choose a date, time, and frequency.
- Tap Save.
View, edit, or delete tasks
View your tasksTasks must have a date to appear in Google Calendar. To turn on Tasks:
- Go to the Calendar app
.
- At the top left, tap Menu
.
- Make sure the “Tasks” box is checked.
- Any tasks with dates will appear on your calendar.
Tip: A list of all uncompleted tasks from the last 365 days are shown as “Pending tasks,” which can be found in the current day.
- Open the Google Calendar app

- In the top left, tap Menu

- Uncheck the box next to “Tasks.”
- Open the Google Calendar app

- Tap a task to update
Edit task

- Update task details.
- Tap Save.
- Open the Google Calendar app
.
- Tap a task to update
Mark completed.
Completed tasks are shown on your calendar by default.
To hide completed tasks crossed out in your calendar, you can adjust your settings.
In your settings
- On your iPhone & iPad, open the Google Calendar app
.
- Tap Menu
Settings
General.
- Turn off Show completed tasks.
- On your device, open the Google Calendar app
.
- On the calendar grid, tap the task you want to report.
- At the top right, tap Options
.
- Tap Report as spam
Report as spam.
When you delete a task from your calendar, it’s removed completely.
- Open the Google Calendar app

- Tap the task to delete

To check all uncompleted tasks from the last 365 days:
- Open the Google Calendar app
.
- While viewing a day’s schedule, tap Pending tasks.
- In the pop-up list, choose how to update pending tasks:
- To edit a task, tap the task, tap the pencil icon
, make your changes, and tap Save.
- To delete a task, tap the task and tap the
, then tap Delete.
- To complete a task, swipe right.
- To edit a task, tap the task, tap the pencil icon
Learn about task notifications
- If you add a date and time to your task, you get notifications at the scheduled date and time.
- Tasks with a date also appear in the Calendar app.
- For tasks without a time, notifications appear at 9 AM.
- For tasks with a deadline, you get a notification to complete the task on the day of the deadline at 9 AM in your local time.
Learn about repeating tasks
- To repeat a task, select the date and time

- Tasks with subtasks can't repeat.
- In Calendar, a certain number of upcoming instances of a repeating task will appear on the calendar grid, and as time passes, new ones will be added automatically.
