Create an event

You can create Google Calendar events from your computer or device.

Create an event

  1. On your Android phone, open the Calendar app Calendar.
  2. Tap Create Create.
  3. Tap Event Event.
  4. Optional:
    • If you're inviting guests, add them to the event, then tap and drag the meeting block to a time that works for everyone.
    • If you have more than one calendar and want to change which one you're adding the event to, go to the top and tap the calendar name.
    • If you want to let guests edit your event, invite others, or view the full guest list, in the "Guests can" section, turn on the access levels you want to give guests.
  5. Swipe up to edit event details like the title, location, event visibility, and who's invited. If you don't share your calendar, you won't see visibility settings at all for your event.
  6. Tap Save.

Tip: You can also create events by finding an empty time on your calendar. Just switch to a view with an hour grid, like Day view, and then double-tap an empty time.
