View your day, week, or month

Check your calendar to find out when you're busy or available.

Change your calendar view

After you choose a new view, it becomes your default view until you change it.
  1. On your computer, open Google Calendar.
  2. In the top right, choose a view: Day, Week, MonthYearSchedule, or 4 days.

Change view settings

Choose which day your calendar week starts, set a custom view, and use an alternate calendar.

  1. On your computer, open Google Calendar.
  2. At the top right corner, click Settings and then Settings.
  3. At the left, click View options.
  4. Choose your settings. Changes are automatically saved.
Important: The side-by-side calendars won’t work for the week or month view in Google Calendar.

Navigate your calendar

There are two ways to move between dates:

  • Use the arrows in the top left corner of the Calendar to move to recent dates in the past or future.
  • Use the small calendar in the top left corner to select a date.

To return to today's date, click Today in the top left corner.

Show shared calendars

  1. On your computer, open Google Calendar.
  2. On the left, choose which calendars you want to show:
    • My calendars: Calendars you own.
    • Other calendars in side-by-side day view: Primary calendars of shared people, rooms, or group calendars. Shared calendars must auto-accept invitations.
