Change your Calendar settings

You can change your calendar’s view, notification, and event settings.

Set up your calendar

  1. Open the Google Calendar app Calendar.
  2. In the top left, tap Menu Menu and then Settings Settings.
  3. Tap General to change the start of the week, device time zone, default event duration, and other settings.
  4. Tap the name of a calendar to change its name, color, or notification settings.
  5. iPad: To turn illustrations on or off, tap the "Show background illustrations" switch.

Add or stop syncing accounts

You can add more accounts to Google Calendar or stop syncing Google Calendar with your Google Account.

Add an account
  1. Open the Google Calendar app Calendar.
  2. In the top left, tap Menu Menu and then Settings Settings.
  3. Tap Manage accounts and then Add another account.
  4. Sign in with your full email address and password. If you use 2-Step Verification, verify the device.
  5. Follow the instructions on the screen to finish the sign in process.
Stop syncing an account
  1. Open the Google Calendar app Calendar.
  2. In the top left, tap Menu Menu and then Settings Settings.
  3. Tap Manage accounts.
  4. Switch off your account.
Remove an account
  1. Open the Google Calendar app Calendar.
  2. In the top left, tap Menu Menu and then Settings Settings.
  3. Tap Manage accounts.
  4. Tap Edit.
  5. Next to the account, tap Remove.
  6. Tap Done.
