Change calendar views on a computer

See your upcoming events and find free times by jumping to a date in the future or switching views.

Change your calendar view

Change temporarily
  1. Open Google Calendar on your computer.
  2. In the top right, choose Day, Week, Month, 7 Days, or Agenda.
Set a new default view
  1. Open Google Calendar on your computer.
  2. In the top right corner, click Settings > Settings.
  3. In the "General" tab, scroll down and find Default view.
  4. Using the drop-down menu, select your new default.
  5. At the bottom of the page, click Save.

Navigate your calendar

There are two ways to move between dates:

  • Use the arrows in the top left corner of the Calendar to move to recent dates in the past or future.
  • Use the small calendar in the top left corner to select a date.

To return to today's date, click Today in the top left corner.

See more events: If there are more events for a certain day than can fit on the screen, you'll see a down arrow to click to see more events.
