If you don't need a calendar anymore, you can permanently delete it or unsubscribe from it. If you think you might need the calendar later, you can hide it instead.
Learn who can delete or unsubscribe from a calendar
- As the calendar owner, you can:
- Delete all events from your primary calendar. However, you can’t delete your primary calendar.
- Delete any secondary calendars. If you share a calendar with other people or groups, the calendar is removed for everyone when you delete it.
- If you’re the calendar owner, you can’t unsubscribe from a secondary calendar, but you can hide it.
- To remove it, you must transfer ownership or delete it permanently. A secondary calendar is:
- Any calendar that you create.
- A group calendar that’s shared with you.

Hide a calendar temporarily
This is a good option for calendars that you only check occasionally. You can tell that your calendar is hidden if the square next to it isn't colored in.
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Calendar app

- In the top left, tap Menu

- In your list of calendars, tap the colored box next to a calendar name.

Remove a calendar from your list permanently
To unsubscribe from a calendar:
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Calendar app
.
- At the top left, tap Menu
