About the 'Private Address'

A 'Private Address' is the address for your calendar that only you should access. You can get your Private Address in two different formats:

XML or iCalendar - Use these formats to view a read-only version of your calendar from other applications. You can use this address to access your calendar from feed readers (like Google Reader) as well as products that support the iCalendar format (like Apple's iCal).

To obtain your calendar's private address, follow these steps:

  1. In the calendar list on the left, click on the down-arrow button next to the appropriate calendar, then select Calendar settings.
  2. Select the XML button on the calendar's settings page. A pop-up window with your calendar's private URL will appear.
  3. Use this URL to access your calendar data.

To export your calendar in iCalendar format, select the ICAL button and click the displayed URL to obtain an ICS file containing your calendar data.

Your calendar's Private Address was designed for your use only, so be sure not to share this address with others. If you want others to view your calendar, we recommend that you share your calendar's public address (or 'Calendar Address') with them. If you accidentally share your calendar's Private Address, click the Reset Private URLs link next to the XML and ICAL buttons to reset your Private Address.
