About the 'Calendar Address'

A 'Calendar Address' is the public address for your calendar. You can get your Calendar Address in three different formats:

XML or iCalendar - Use these formats to view a read-only version of your calendar from other applications. You can use this address to subscribe to your calendar feed in Google Calendar, access your calendar from feed readers (like Google Reader) as well as products that support the iCalendar format (like Apple's iCal).

HTML - Obtain the public URL to view a read-only version of your calendar without signing in to Google Calendar. Share this URL with your friends so they can view your calendar directly in their browser window.

Your calendar must be public in order for others to use your Calendar Address. If you wish to keep your calendar private, it will only be accessible by those who have direct sharing privileges. You can change the amount of information available at your calendar's public address by clicking the Change sharing settings link in the Calendar Address section.

To obtain your calendar's address, please follow these steps:

  1. In the calendar list on the left side of the page, click the down-arrow button next to the appropriate calendar, then select Calendar settings.
  2. In the Calendar Address section, click the XML or HTML button. A pop-up window with your calendar's public URL will appear.
  3. Use this URL to access your calendar information.

To export your calendar in iCalendar format, select the ICAL button and click the displayed URL to obtain an ICS file containing your calendar data.
