Use Google Calendar on your Apple Watch

You can use Google Calendar with your Apple Watch to:

  • Check your schedule and tasks.
  • Be notified of events and tasks.
  • Receive notifications for events and tasks from Calendar.

Check your events and tasks

Important: You can't create new events or tasks on your watch. To create events and tasks, use Google Calendar in your web browser or in the Calendar app for iPhone and iPad.

You can check events and tasks in Google Calendar through:

  • Complications
  • Smart Stack
  • Notifications
  • Schedule view in the Calendar app
  1. To wake up your watch, tap the watch face.
  2. Check your calendar:
    • With complications:
    • With Smart Stack:
      1. Scroll down with the crown.
        • Or swipe up from the bottom of the screen.
      2. Tap your next event or task. Learn about timely widgets in the Smart Stack on Apple Watch.
    • With the Calendar app:
      1. Press the crown.
      2. Browse the apps on the Home Screen.
      3. Tap the Calendar app Calendar.
    • With notifications:
      • Your watch will notify you of an event before it starts.
      • Your watch will notify you of a task when it's due.

Troubleshoot sync

Important:

  • You can check events and tasks up to seven days in the future on your watch.
  • Events and tasks more than seven days in the future aren't available on your watch. To find them, use Google Calendar in your web browser or in the Calendar app for iPhone and iPad.

On your Apple Watch, Calendar displays calendars for Google Accounts added to your watch if they're also visible in the Calendar app on your phone.

To change visibility:

  1. On your iPhone, open the Calendar app Calendar.
  2. At the top left, tap Menu Menu.
  3. Select the calendars that you want on your watch.
