Labs are experiments
Since Labs are still experiments, they might change, break, or disappear at any time.Turn on Labs
You can only turn on and use Labs on your computer. They don't work on the Android or iPhone Calendar app.
- On your computer, open Google Calendar.
- In the top right corner, click Settings Labs.
- For any Labs you want to add, select Enable.
- At the bottom of the page, click Save.

Personalize your calendar grid by adding an image.
You can choose to center, tile, or size the image to fit.
When you choose an image to upload, make sure to use the link to the image itself and not a folder that the image is in.
See time in multiple time zones.
Click on an event and the time zone gadget will show the event time across time zones.
Navigate to specific dates.
Your calendar view (day, week, month) will stay the same, but the new date will be shown.
See a countdown to the next event on your calendar.
If someone shared their calendar with you, enter their email address to see what's on their schedule.
See your entire year in Google Calendar.
Click a date to see your events for that day.
If your event only has one other guest, you'll see the guest's name next to the event's title.
Block off times on your calendar when you're unavailable, and any invitations you get for events during this time will be automatically declined.
To block off time, create an event that covers the time you'll be busy and select Busy (decline invitations) from the "Show me as" drop-down menu on the event details page.
Customize your calendar grid so you only see events in a certain time range.
To adjust your time range, drag the bar on the left side of the calendar.
If you're having problems with Google Calendar after turning a Lab on, try turning it off to see if that fixes the problem.
