Report inappropriate calendar invitations and events

If you notice a suspicious invitation or event on your calendar, report it as spam.

Step 1: Report the event as spam

Important:

  • To report an event as spam, it must have been sent from Google Calendar. Calendar events created by another provider, app or service can't be reported as spam.
  • If you report an event, the event will be removed from your calendar. If the event recurs, all events in the series will be removed.
  1. On your computer, open Google Calendar.
  2. Click the event that you want to report.
  3. At the top right, click More actions and then Report as spam.

Step 2: Change event permissions

  1. On your computer, open Google Calendar.
  2. At the top right, click Settings and then Settings.
  3. In the 'General' tab, click Event settings and then Add invitations to my calendar.
  4. Select Only if the sender is known.
    • This adds an event to your calendar only if the sender is in your contacts, part of your organisation or someone that you've interacted with.
      • This option might reveal to senders that they aren't in your contacts.
