Doordash has hijacked my Google business page and I can't edit or delete the "Order " link away. 1 Recommended Answer 21 Replies 82 Upvotes

Doordash.com hijacked 100s of local restaurant's menus and started
offering delivery without any agreement from any of the local
restaurants. Calling them gets them to remove your name and listing, but
a link remains on my Google my business results page. I can edit it but
it reappears almost immediately. Google says there's nothing they can
do? So far, there's about 30 of us exploring a class action suit as it's
costing us all tens of thousands of dollars. Clicking the link takes the customer to doordash listing of all the competitors in my area, the far majority of which are not yet aware they are even listed. Total scam and supported by Google.

Hi Mark
The understanding I have, from the reading I have been doing, is that the 3rd parties contract with/advertise with Google so as to be able to place their links there.
There are a number of posts throughout the old GMB Community from restaurant owners that are not happy about the appearance of these buttons on their GMB listings, especially when they themselves offer delivery of their own food.. and the 3rd party is also making money via delivery and traffic from the restaurant's own GMB listing.
You may want to refer to this thread as it offers a number of suggestions on what actions could be taken

Hi Mark,
Bronwyn has provided good advice, but in-case the link she has provided is not available in the future, here is the basic advice:
Google cannot take down these links for you. You will need to speak to the 3rd party company and tell them to remove this.

I'm sorry, but this is simply untrue. I have spoken to several other restaurant owners around the country who have found themselves in the exact same dubious situation with doordash and Google , and it was Google who took the illegal links down from THEIR OWN SITE, as doordash refused to cooperate. I will not give up this fight.

I have recently been hijacked by doordash and have had my reputation hurt by their poor service. They stole my menu, put up the delivery link and started calling in orders from an overseas call center. The orders are usually wrong, the drivers dont have the right addresses and sometimes noone ever comes to pick it up. And we look like the bad guy. We do our own delivery service and have no desire for them at all. A salesperson from doordash recently called and said the free version was over. I said I don’t want the service at all and I want the damn the link removed. He said I needed to call google. I called google, they said call doordash. I called door dash. The lady from India had no idea what I was talking about. I emailed the salesperson back saying I needed them to remove it. He insisted its google. Anybody ready for a class action suit? I am. Also grubhub is listed and they don’t even use our service. Very frustrating. Who’s ready to lawyer up on these guys?
