So this is a new feature (not a technical issue) but I'm trying to collect more feedback for Google on it. Do you like it? If you don't like it, please give examples and details as to why :)

They should be able to fix this issue.
Regarding posts showing photos you did not put your self into the post : this shouldn't happen.
Do you see in the tab "Post" any plain text posts and such post get shown to the public with photos???
Or did I misunderstand this part of your issue.
Feel free then to elaborate it more (linking such post coming with photos despite of not having attache photos to the post.
EDITED:
Supplement Chris:
Just read a long sermon of an other user and this user also spoke about unwanted photos getting published with posts (not providing yet any proof an evidence about this matter)
Therefore I consider it worth and important to get your matter escalated to Google and I'm offering to do this as soon I have better and concrete facts of any of your posts created by you without photos but visible for the public WITH any previously uploaded photos which are not related to the post in question.
Thanks in advance for according facts

Note: this one post shows a photo extracted by Google just from your tab Photos and the post shows bottom the unwantedly "stolen" photo a text and with the text at its left side your Logo.
-Yes this is an unwanted post... however the text and logo are part of the photo that was uploaded to the GMB Photo Link the original photo was edited and uploaded with this additional text so customers know it's a photo posted by the business and not a customer.
Now a screenshot of the post you already confirmed above its posted by you (seems the one linked by me above as posts.gle/5F8H7
-Correct

Note the main difference between the "Google-created" post and yours is that the text of the photo with the Christmas tree doesn't come up in front of the text with your logo.
I now checked many of the publicly visible posts (though not all) and it seems confirming my theory that all posts with any text bottom the photo but NOT having in front of the text the logo are your genuine posts.
While all posts with photos and a "leading Logo" in front of the text are not genuine your posts but unwantedly created posts (posted through a bug of GMB) with "stolen photos"
-Yes correct... the photos with leading logos/ text found in our posts are actually just photos that are uploaded to gmb (edited to have the logo/ text) but google has posted them unwantedly in posts. As noted above I originally thought perhaps this was the issue that the photo was edited but see below... these photos do not have any leading logo/ text and can be found in photos for customers to search Photo Link however they have also been uploaded by google in the posts for the gmb as seen below and in this link

Can you please double-check this theory with your reality and knowledge of what posts you have posted and what posts are "Google fake posts"
If yes: I then have a very good base to make an escalation to GoolgesGMB team.
Hopefully comments above help clarify what is going on... thanks for your help.

And sorry for the delay (had today some visits at doctors )
Now Itsto late in my countr
So I will make tomorrow an escalation to the GMB folks based on your valuable input so far.
It would be very helpful if you could make/provde a (almost complete) list of linked posts being obviously NOT created by you but unwantedly created by this weird GMB bug we are talking about.
Note: in case you have no option, time or possibility to provide such an (almost complete) list of the "fake" GMB created posts in the next 12 hours don't worry.
I will then nevertheless prepare my escalation based on the two posts you identified above already as "unwantedly"

I meanwhile escalated the bug to Google via my channel
FMI & reference #178
Hint for you: I listed in the escalation this posts as created by Google "on its own power"
this are "pars pro toto" links - there might be some more posts created by Google without any action of the User
This two links are two post created and published by you and I mentioned this for interest of Google.
Note there is one posting visible in one of your above posts here in the thread
(quoting it below)

This one post I couldn't find anyhow in the GMB listing anymore.
So I did not mention this in the escalation. And I'm not sure anyway whether this alos was a Google created post or one of your own posts.

Uploading photos into a location results in an unwanted post to show up.

Such post has no text nor action, just a carousel of our uploaded photos.
It mixes up with real posts, and more often than not it appears on top of them, pushing down relevant campaigns.
This shouldn't really exist: just leave those images to be as photos, that's all they were intended to be.
These publications are clearly carousels, not posts of our own:

there is a simple workaround solution for this!
The posts created erroneously and improperly when you upload GMB photos cannot be deleted on computer.
However, you can delete these undesired posts in Google Maps app.
Just figured it out and tested it - it works!
1. Open the Google Maps app
1. Open the Google Maps app
2. Find your business
3. Find unwanted posts you'd like to delete
4. Click on the 3 dots in the upper right corner of each post you'd like to delete
5. You should see a 'Delete' button there, just go ahead and delete them
Please note: This does not fix the root problem of these unwanted, uncalled-for posts still being created, but it certainly does get rid of them. It's a temporary (and only) solution until this is properly resolved, so it stops happening to begin with.

Seconding the reply given by Joy 12/19/19
Google just confirmed on my previously made escalation that this automatically post creating based on uploaded photos is an intended behavior

publishing posts "on its own"

I have GMB for several Cemeteries we are taking photos and up loading them for people to find the graves of loved ones that are in our cemeteries we actually don't do any posts we have the GMB to protect the information to the cemeteries. Not like we plan to run events or specials that we need to post about. Or come spend the holidays with us. Posts. Google needs to let the bussiness run their own GMB not do it for us.

Personally, I really don't like them. Posts are for things the business wants to highlight. Photos are often uploaded to simply give customers more of an up close look at areas of the business and aren't necessarily appropriate for a post, especially if there is no text with it. When Google is not allowing you to edit or delete the post or even see it in the dashboard, it's a bit bizarre.
I'm hoping that they make changes to this feature or just do away with it. I have to now look at when I add photos and make sure to add a post a little while after any photos so the post I want shows up as the most recent.
It's also frustrating that when I reached out to Google, it took days of back and forth for them to acknowledge it was a new feature and not a bug.
