How to remove street view picture from my google business listing

Hi,

I see my listing shows street view along photo we upload, however. The street view pic is not particularly good photo that attracts business and I like not show. All our corporate businesses don't show the street view pic, so I must have way to do the same. How do I remove street view picture from my google business listing?

I am afraid that you cannot do that either, Google would not replace their Street View images with user's provided photo spheres, but you can upload your own photo spheres to Maps that would be displayed on the Street View layer as user contributed photo spheres and would indicate their location as a blue dot.

Hi Jonathan,
You can publish your own photo spheres to Google Maps and link them to your business profile as a stopgap measure until Google comes back to your town and updates their own Street View imagery.

Hi Jonathan,
Please, take a look at the Street View section of the Maps help center that explains the process in detail.

This is possible... kind of. Just tried it for our own business. When you go to Google My Business (business.google.com) you have to go to Info. You can see your address there. Edit it (the pen / pencil logo) and select Clear address. This is why I said 'kind of'. Your address will be removed from  Google Maps. However, you can still add Service Areas on the Info Section. Here you can add places / locations where your business is Active.

Hi C Art,
That is not an appropriate workaround for brick & mortar businesses because by hiding your address and selecting a service are you are saying to Google that customers cannot come to your location, rather you provide goods and/or services at a location of the customer's choosing.  It will get rid of the Street View image but people will not be able to find your business location on Maps and get directions to it.

Hi Jonathan,
There is no one form Google in this help forum that can help you. Google has its own schedule for the update of the Street View imagery, the tentative schedule can be found here
although currently they have nothing panned for the UK.
There is no easy solution, it is not possible to remove them, Google only remove Street View imagery of residential addresses for privacy issues, and then is permanent.
If you are not willing to publish your own photo spheres to your business profile I am afraid you would have to wait until Google comes back to town to update them.
You could also hire a trusted photographer that could create a virtual tour of your business to mitigate the problem caused by the outdated Street View imagery.

Hi Claudia,
The reason is that Google selected an entry point for Street View on Leonhardsgraben because the Driving Directions access point, to which is linked, is placed on that street.
Is it correct that motor vehicle traffic is not allowed on Heuberg?

Please, do not move the marker for the business profile on Maps, it would not change the entry point for the Street View image. Please, move the marker for the business profile to its original location on top of the building where it is located.

The photo sphere you pointed to and others similar would not be used as entry point to Google's Street View. However, if you could publish your own photo sphere in front to the entrance to Heuberg 7 and link it to your business listing at least Google would display a thumbnail image for it on your business profile.
Ideally, Google should remove the Street View entry point, although they can be reluctant to do that sometimes because the point of that Street View image is to give you an idea of what the area looks like at the end of the driving directions. Typically, this is not an issue where motor vehicle traffic is allowed on the road in front of the business, which is not the case here.

I am a Google Trusted Photographer and I have a customer who wants me to add a new street view of their new business.  I can just do a short tour in front of the building but that would be put into their photo's under 360 view.  They want it put onto their see outside photo.  Can you tell me how to do this?

Hi Neil,
Currently, there is no mechanism, that I am aware of, to do that. The blue line virtual tours are included in the SV timeline, but Google does not currently use them in the See Outside thumbnail image attached to the business profile. The fact that they are now included in the SV timeline gives me some hope that they might be used in the future in the See Outside thumbnail image.
You would be able to discuss this matter better with the SV team in the private forum for Street View photographers in Local Guides Connect.

It's ridiculous how a third party has so much power over our investments. We have been trying to upload images of our menu which don't show no matter what we do. We have a tried everything including contacting google multiple times but all we get is its with an expert. Also changing the street view as for some reason it changed to an older business that is no longer existant and has been for over a year. All we got from Google is just click the three dots and send feedback. Devastating to our business and we are on the verge of shutting down due to Googles strong hold. This sucks.
