How do I list my business location on Google when I work from home and also offer on-line services?

I don't understand how I should use the service area and/or hybrid options when I have no fixed geography given that many of my services may be accessed online. I have clients across the UK and Ireland, as well as in Europe and the US although local clients can also see me face-to-face.

Hi KarenLL

So firstly, Google Business Profile is designed for local businesses and is not designed for online or international services. Your service area should not exceed 2 hours driving distance from your location. Please see this policy page.

Secondly, a hybrid business is a business that has both a physical store and also delivers goods and services. An example would be a restaurant that delivers food and also has dine-in or carry-out. If your business doesn’t have permanent on-site signage, it's not eligible as a storefront and should be listed as a service-area business. Please see this policy here.

To answer your question more specifically, it sounds like what you are trying to achieve is not possible on Google Business Profile. If you do not have signage but meet customers face-to-face, you may set a service-area of around 2-hours driving distance from where you reside.

Hope that helps.
