Why do I need to create my business every time I use the mobile app - no option to sign in 1 Recommended Answer 4 Replies 1 Upvote

Each time I access the mobile app on my iPhone I have to go through the whole process of creating a business (which already exists) - sometimes it creates a new business with exactly the same name as the one that already exists and sometimes I get to a point where it tells me the business already exists and allows me to access it.

Hi Joanne Thurston,

You should check if you have duplicate within account.  Then follow the step to remove duplicate un-verified listings.
  1. Sign in to Google My Business.
  2. From the list of locations, select one or more locations that you want to remove.
  3. Click Actions  Remove locations  Remove.

Yes - I’ve already sorted that as i’ve had to do it on numerous occasions

My question was why do I not get an option to sign into my property on the app - every time I open it it asks me to create a business - I don’t want to create a business - just access the one I have already created

I seem to have found what causes it but looks like a bug to me. I have a number of holiday properties that are individually named as the system doesn't seem to allow multiple locations under the same business name. So I've created a location group as the umbrella company and named each holiday home individually and grouped them under the location group.
My mobile app does not seem to know that properties exist under the location group - if I ungroup a property then it appears in the app immediately and disappears again when I transfer back into the location group?
Is it meant to do this??
