Bulk CSV Edit - Primary & Additional Categories flagged as errors

I'm downloading the business export of my location group and trying to re-upload with minor edits (I'm updating the website URLs to include UTM tags).

The problem is, whenever I try to upload the CSV, I get flagged with the below errors. Sample below:

Primary category: Invalid,Primary category: Invalid,Additional categories: Invalid,Additional categories: Invalid
Additional categories: Invalid,Primary category: Invalid,Primary category: Invalid,Additional categories: Invalid,Additional categories: Invalid

For further context, these are the exact categories I'm using:
Primary category - Shoe store
Additional categories - Handbags shop,Fashion accessories store

Anyone know what might be going wrong? Nothing else is being flagged as an error. Country / Region is also set to AU.

Sounds strange.
I would recommend to make a test in order to exclude the possibility that your minor edits have had any bad impact:
Just download the original bulk feed again and don't do any edits and then and now uploading the bulk again unedited.
Will you get the category errors again?

Thanks for looking into this.

I did what you suggested and downloaded the original business export, and then re-uploaded with zero changes. It still flags the categories as errors - screenshot here

This is is so strange because they're Google's official categories and have been there for years. I tested using a .csv and then a .xlsx and got the same result.

Any other ideas how to resolve this?

have you already  contacted  Business  support regarding  the  matter? If so  getting what  response and  what  numeric case ID?
And  can  you  please  provide  a few  links  (working  GMaps  links)  to the  original  Bulk feed

Is your comment a snippet from your conversation with Google?

Just to clarify, I've tested the following:
  1. Uploading the downloaded bulk spreadsheet with minor changes to the URL (adding UTM parameters), with no changes to categories.
  2. Uploading the downloaded bulk spreadsheet with no changes
Both of the above return the same error related to primary and additional categories. The question at large is why GMB seems to be unable to accept official categories upon bulk upload?
