View Post Insights

Post Insights help you better understand how your posts perform with potential customers. From the Posts tab, you can view insights for:

  • An individual post
  • All posts from the last week
  • All posts from the last month

Understand your summary

Your summary shows your views, clicks, and the percentage change using a rolling period. The rolling period is the last 7 or 28 days, and can have a delay of up to 3 days. When looking at this summary of your Post Insights, you’ll see data from last week that’s being compared with the week before.

If any of the following occurs, your percentages won’t show in the summary:

  • Your posts received no views.
  • You don’t have any posts.
  • Your percentage change is over 99.99%.

Example 1
You’ve been using Posts and sharing more with your customers, so you see that you’ve got a 20% increase in your impressions summary. Now you want to know which Posts did the best and had the most impressions, so you check out the individual Post Insights by going to the Posts tab and clicking the Posts you think were the best. That way you can look at the individual insights for those posts to see the performance.

Example 2
Today is January 17. Your summary displays percent changes based on the first week (January 1-7) compared to the second week (January 8-14). If there are no percentages, there were either no impressions or clicks, no posts, or the change was too drastic between the first and second week.

The summary view of Post Insights is available to everyone on the Google My Business desktop and mobile website, but it is not available on the Google My Business app.
