Post on Google as a local business

Posting through Google My Business lets you publish your events, products and services directly to Google Search and Maps. By creating posts, you can place your timely text, video or photo content in front of customers when they find your business listing on Google. 

How to create a post

Desktop

To create a post on desktop, follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to Google My Business
  2. If you have multiple locations, open the location that you'd like to manage.
  3. Click Create post, or click Posts from the menu.
  4. The “Create post” screen appears. Choose which type of post you'd like to create from the options given.
  5. Options appear to add photos, videos, text, events, offers and a button to your post. Click each field and enter any relevant information.

    All uploaded media must meet the following size requirements: 

    • Minimum: 400 x 300 pixels and 10 KB size limit.
    • Maximum: 10,000 x 10,000 pixels and 25 MB size limit.
  6. Click Preview to see a preview of your post.
  7. If you're happy with your preview, click Publish in the top right-hand corner of the screen. If you'd like to change your post, click Back Back in the top left of the screen to continue editing your draft until it’s ready to publish.

Mobile

To create a post using the mobile app, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Google My Business app.
  2. Tap Home.
  3. In the bottom right-hand corner, tap Plus.
  4. Tap Create post.
    Note: You may be prompted to add a photo. If you don't want to add a photo, tap Skip.
  5. Create your post. Options appear to add photos, videos, text, events, offers and a button to your post. Tap each field and enter any relevant information.

    All uploaded media must meet the following size requirements: 

    • Minimum: 400 x 300 pixels and 10 KB size limit.
    • Maximum: 10,000 x 10,000 pixels and 25 MB size limit.
  6. Tap Preview to see a preview of your post.
  7. If you're happy with your preview, tap Publish.
    Note: If you'd like to change your post, in the top left of the screen, tap Back Back. Edit your draft until it’s ready to publish.

You can also edit or delete a post.
