How to manage requests to link your Business Profile

If someone wants to advertise your business or product on Google, they can request to link your Business Profile to their advertising accounts. They can link to your:

  • Google Ads account to advertise your businesses with business extensions.
    • Important: If you link to a Google Ads account, any Merchant Center accounts that are linked to the Google Ads account can view your locations.
  • Merchant Center account to show your local products on Google.

When someone's advertising account is linked to your Business Profile, they can find and advertise your businesses. They can’t edit your business information. An account can be linked to all locations or to a single business group.

Review link requests

  1. On your computer, sign in to Business Profile Manager.
  2. Click the Linked accounts tab.
  3. Under Requests, scroll to the request you'd like to review.
    • You’ll find the requester’s email address that you can use if you want to contact them directly.
  4. Click Approve or Decline.

Unlink an account

You can unlink an advertising account to stop your business from being advertised. Before you unlink an advertising account, consult with the person who updates the account.

  1. On your computer, sign in to Business Profile Manager.
  2. Click the Linked accounts tab.
  3. Under Linked accounts, scroll to the account you'd like to unlink.
  4. Click Unlink.
