Remove duplicate locations in your account
If you add a location that’s already been verified in your Business Profile, Google marks it as a 'Duplicate location' in your account. The duplicate location is not shown in Google Maps.
If 'Access needed' is listed on a location, someone else previously verified it. Request ownership of that Business Profile if you’re authorised to manage it.
Important: Once a location is removed, it can't be recovered. Update the location you want to keep with any crucial information from the location that you want to remove. If the location you kept is unverified, you’ll have to verify it, even if the duplicate location that you removed was verified.
Remove multiple duplicate locations
- On your computer, sign in to Business Profile Manager.
- Go to Manage locations.
- Tick the box for each location that you want to remove.
- Click 'Actions' Remove location.

Update your business address
Important: Do not create a new Business Profile if your business’s location changes.
If your business moves, you can update the address in your Business Profile. After you update the address, you may be asked to verify it.
When you update your address, you can enter your opening date and post from the new location.
If you want to update an address but you don't own the Business Profile, you can request access from the profile’s current owner.
You can also report incorrect addresses on Google Maps.
