Tip: Most codes arrive within 14 days.
To avoid delays, while you wait, don’t request a new code or edit your business name, address or category. If you edit your info or request a new code, we cancel the code on the postcard in the mail and send a new postcard. This step helps protect the integrity of your profile.
Important: When you enter your code, make sure that you don’t enter an incorrect code more than 5 times. If you do, verification fails. If that happens, you must remove the profile from your Google Account and make a new profile.

Important:
- Keep the verification code secure.
- Google will never ask for your verification code.
- Do not share the verification code with anyone, even with those who manage your Business Profile.
Google won't call you to ask for a verification code.
Don't share your verification code with anyone. This includes third parties that help manage your business on Google, like a marketing firm. Your code is unique to your business. You should be the only one who uses it.
Understand verification codes
Each verification code is unique to your business and the location for which you requested verification. If you update your business address, only the code requested for your current address works. Verification codes expire after 30 days.
Tip: If your address changes before you're verified, you must request a new code. We allow businesses a limited number of verification attempts over a period of time. You won’t be able to update your Business Profile name until you complete verification.
