Add or claim your business

When you add and verify your Business Profile, customers can find your business on Search and Maps. To make sure your business is eligible to show up on Google, verify your Business Profile. After you successfully add or claim your profile, you can control how your business information shows up on Google.

You can add or claim your business at no charge. If you have questions about profile verification, check the Business Profile community.

Add your business

If a Business Profile for your business doesn’t exist on Search or Maps, you can create one:

  1. Go to business.google.com/add.
  2. Click Add your business to Google.
  3. To add details about your business, follow the on-screen instructions.
  4. Select a verification option, and follow the on-screen steps.

Claim your business

If an unverified Business Profile for your business already exists, you can claim the Business Profile:

  1. On your computer, open Google or Google Maps.
  2. In the search bar, enter the business name and city.
  3. To claim the Business Profile:
    • On Google Search: Click Own this business and then Manage now.
    • On Google Maps: Click Claim this business Get verified icon and then Manage now.
      • To choose a different business, click I own or manage another business.
  4. Select a verification option.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions.

Tip: If a Business Profile on Google has been verified and you're authorized to manage the profile, you can request ownership from the current profile owner. Learn how to request ownership of a Business Profile.
