You can set and edit your business’s hours on your Business Profile for Google Maps and Search. This helps customers to find your business’s most up to date and accurate hours of operation for a normal week. Learn more about opening hours guidelines.
Set main opening hours
- Go to your Business Profile.
- To edit your business info:
- On Google Search: Click Edit profile.
- On Google Maps: Click Edit profile
Business information.
- At the top right, click Hours
Edit
Open with main hours.
- If you don’t want your opening hours to show on your profile, click Open with no main hours
Save.
- If you don’t want your opening hours to show on your profile, click Open with no main hours
- Next to each day of the week that your business is open, tick the box.
- To set hours, use the drop-downs.
- After you set your hours, click Save.
Set opening hour breaks
To indicate your opening hour breaks, create two entries for the same day with different times.
- Go to your Business Profile.
- To edit your business info:
- On Google Search: Click Edit profile.
- On Google Maps: Click Edit profile

- At the top right, click Hours
Edit
Open with main hours.
- Next to the day of the week that your business is open, tick the box.
- Example: If your business is open from 9.00 a.m. – 2.00 p.m. on Saturdays and closed from 2.00 p.m. – 5.00 p.m., then open again from 5.00 p.m. – 10.00 p.m.:
- Tick the box next to 'Saturday'.
- To set the start of your opening hour break:
- Click Opens at
9.00 a.m..
- Click Closes at
2.00 p.m..
- Click Opens at
- Click Add hours

- To set the end of your opening hour break:
- Click Opens at
5.00 p.m..
- Click Closes at
10.00 p.m..
- Click Opens at
- Click Save.
- Example: If your business is open from 9.00 a.m. – 2.00 p.m. on Saturdays and closed from 2.00 p.m. – 5.00 p.m., then open again from 5.00 p.m. – 10.00 p.m.:
Set 24-hour opening hours
Each day of the week that your business is open, click Opens at 24 hours
Save.
Set special hours and more hours
You can let your customers know about changes in your opening hours or when certain services are available.
- For days when you have unusual hours, such as holidays or special events, you can set special hours. Special hours are when your business:
- Temporarily adjusts its hours of operation.
- Remains closed for six days in a row or fewer.
- If you offer specific services with different times such as senior hours, or delivery and takeaway hours, you can set more hours.
Edit posts on Business Profile about your updated hours
After you update your hours, customers can find:
- On your Business Profile: A message that confirms your recent update.
- On the Updates tab of your profile in mobile devices: A post that confirms that you made a change to your hours.
To give more info about your updated hours, edit your post.
To remove the hours update message and the post, delete your associated post.
