Add books & magazines to your library

You can organize, rate, and review books and magazines by adding them to your library. Your library is also where you’ll see any notes or labels you add to a book.

To add books or to write reviews make sure you’re signed in to Google Books.

Add a single book or magazine 
  1. Go to books.google.com.
  2. Enter your search into the search box.

  3. Click Search books.

  4. Select a book.

  5. At the top of the book page, click Add to my library.

  6. Choose a shelf to add it to.

Your book or magazine will be added to your library.

Add a list of books or magazines

You can add several books at once if you know their ISBN or ISSN.

  1. Go to books.google.com.

  2. In the bottom-middle of the page, click My Library.

  3. To the left of the page, click the name of a shelf (for example “Favorites”).

  4. On the results page, click the Settings icon .

  5. Select Add by ISBN or ISSN.

  6. Enter the ISBNs or ISSNs of the books you want to add. Separate them with commas.

  7. Click Add books.

The books or magazines will be added to your library.
