HTTPS: You have not been authorized to use this domain. Please follow the settings instructions.

I have a custom domain and when I try to enable HTTPS, I get the following error message:
You have not been authorized to use this domain. Please follow the settings instructions.

However, I'm in the new Blogger interface and there are no settings instructions.

Looking at other threads I see that the settings instructions are specific to a user's Google account. How do I get those instructions for my account so I can enable HTTPS availability?

My custom domain name is blog.action-hero.net

Any help appreciated!

Hello,
How was this domain verified on Blogger? By you or maybe someone helped you?

Try this (old webmaster tools page):

https://www.google.com/webmasters/verification/details?hl=en&domain=weblove.pl

replace weblove.pl with your domain -> DNS CNAME record -> click on "Details".

If you are redirected to the homepage, click on "add a property" -> select Alternate methods -> Domain name provider -> Other -> click on "Add a CNAME record" -> you will get CNAME host and target.

Important note: You must be logged in with the same google account you use on the blogger.

The SSL certificate should generate within 15 minutes. I'm glad that everything works now :-)

P.S. also enable "HTTPS redirect" in Blogger settings, then the HTTP version will be redirected to the one with the certificate.

It should work almost immediately - sometimes longer, but usually up to 15 minutes. What type of verification did you choose? It should be a CNAME record with a string of characters.

I've contracted my hosting company to see if they can help me with your directions. I'll update you shortly.
