Search operators you can use with Blogger

You can use words or symbols called search operators to filter your Blogger post and page search results. You can also combine operators to filter your results even more.

How to use a search operator

  1. Go to Blogger posts and pages.
  2. In the search box, type the search operator.

Tip: Once you do a search using search operators, you can save the browser address to use the same search later.

What you can search by Search operator & example
Sort the results

sort:

Values: default, published, updated

Add a minus sign to reserve order of published and updated

Example: sort:-published

Specify the status

status:

Values: draft,live,scheduled

By default, all items are returned. scheduled is only available for posts.

Example: status:draft

Specify the author

author:

Example: author:amy

Words in the post or page title title:
Example: title:dinner
Words in the post or page body

body:

Example: body:afternoon
Messages that have certain labels

label:

Example: label:friends
Quote words with spaces " "
Example: title:”dinner and movie tonight"
Separate multiple search terms together for status, title, body and label terms Example: title:dinner,movie
Search for posts or pages published or updated during a certain time period

start_updated_date:

start_published_date:

end_updated_date:

end_published_date:

These terms are only applied if the matching sort: term is used.

Example: start_updated_date:2004/04/16

Example: start_published_date:04/16/2004

Example: end_updated_date:2004/18/04

Example: end_published_date:04/18/2004
