Use CSS to change your blog's format

You can make changes to your blog's appearance by updating your blog's CSS. You can do this using the Template Designer, or by adding custom CSS. 

First, open the template designer

  1. Sign in on blogger.com.
  2. Click on your blog.
  3. On the left side of the page, click Templates > Customize > Advanced.
  4. From here, you can change colors and fonts.
  5. To make changes using custom CSS, click Add CSS.

Colors

You can select a color by using the Template Designer's color selector, or by typing in a hex code.

You can also set the colors by adding custom CSS. To do this, click Add CSS on the Advanced page.

Examples:

  • Text color: color:blue;
  • Background color: background:yellow;
  • Border colors: colspan="2">Borders;. To do a border on only one side, use border-top, border-bottom, border-right, or border-left.

Fonts

You can select a font by using the Template Designer's font selector.

You can also set the font by adding custom CSS. To do this, click Add CSS on the Advanced page.

Examples:

  • Font: font-family:"Times New Roman",Serif; or font-family:Verdana,Sans-Serif; 
  • Font size: font-size: 24px;. The units of size can be pixels (px), points (pt), inches (in) or percent of the default size (%).
  • Underline: text-decoration:underline;
  • Bold: font-weight:bold;
  • Align text: text-align:right;. The alignment can be set to left, right, or justified.

Other Custom CSS

Using the Add CSS option on the Advanced page, you can add many kinds of custom CSS.

Examples:

  • 15px margin: margin:15px;
  • 15px padding: padding:15px;
