Sign in to Bard

To use Bard, you’ll need to sign in with a Google Account. Bard is an experiment that lets you collaborate with generative AI. As a conversational AI tool, use Bard to brainstorm ideas with, spark your creativity, and accelerate productivity. Learn more about Bard and how large language models work.

What you need

  • A personal Google Account that you manage on your own, or a Google Workspace account for which your administrator has enabled access to Bard. You still can’t access Bard with a Google Account managed by Family Link or with a Google Workspace for Education account designated as under the age of 18.
  • Be 18 or over.
  • A supported browser: Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Opera, or Edgium.

Sign in to Bard

  1. Go to bard.google.com.
  2. At the top right, select Sign in.
  3. Sign in to your personal Google Account.

Sign out of Bard

  1. Go to bard.google.com.
  2. At the top right, select your Profile picture or initial.
  3. Select Sign out.

Can’t sign in to Bard

If you can’t sign in to your Google Account in Bard, select the message you get below to learn more.

Bard isn’t supported for this account

Currently, you can use a personal Google Account that you manage on your own, or a Google Workspace account for which your administrator has enabled access to Bard. Also, you must be 18 or over to use Bard.

You still can’t access Bard with a Google Account managed by Family Link or with a Google Workspace for Education account designated as under the age of 18. If you’re a Google Workspace administrator, learn how to enable access to Bard.

Something went wrong
Some people may not be able to access Bard for a variety of reasons, including location, age, or type of account, among others. If you can’t access or use Bard now, you can try again later.
