"Ok Google, set an alarm" not working. 0 Recommended Answers 13 Replies 8 Upvotes

It doesn't matter what device I am using assistant on; home, mini, pixel, wear os, Android TV etc. It seems to be a global issue with Google Assistant, but only for my primary account.

This started about 2 years ago when I was using IFTT to get my phone to play music  as my alarm, before Google implemented music support in the clock app.

The IFTT recipe never worked the way I wanted but involved IFTT intercepting the "Set an Alarm" command and casting music when the alarm goes off. I deleted the recipe, de-linked my account and ultimately deleted my IFTT account in an attempt to get Assistant to recognize "Set an Alarm" again to no avail.

I suspect I need an actual tech to "reset" the API linked to my account.

No. This is a device agnostic issue.

I have the same problem. I've tried everything and nothing is fixing it. It worked two days ago and now nothing. 🤷‍♀️

Same here. It recognises other commands but for some reason it gets stuck if I ask to set an alarm or to open clock

Same issue, when check online my activity shows that it's setting the alarm and that it's replying that it set the alarm but on the phone itself Google Assistant doesn't say anything except if you try saying it like 6 to 10 times it will eventually set the alarm
