Google home "Sorry I don't understand"

I've been having major problems with my google home lately.

I ask it to change a song on Spotify or any other command regarding Spotify for that matter, sometimes it executes the command yet other times it doesn't. The only thing that stays consistent is that it always keeps on saying "sorry I don't understand" a couple of seconds later and I truly don't know what causes it and yes; I have tried turning the home, on and off, resetting it and even disconnecting my Spotify account from it yet nothing has changed. 

Please tell me if any of you guys have found a solution to my problem or if I'm the only one experiencing this struggle.

guys I figures it out,  you need to reset your homes. You will be forced to set it up again, but if you use the same email, then it will transfer the data over. After I did this I'm not having issues anymore, hope this helps :)

reset: hold microphone or on/off button for 15 seconds. google will say that you're about to reset, but just keep holding it down

Please let me know what other info is needed to fix this. I'm using the alexa for now but it's not as good...
