OK, I tried everything I could think of, and no luck:

1. Cleared cache for Google App, Google Assistant, and Google Calendar
2. Cleared data for Google App, Google Assistant, and Google Calendar
3. Uninstalled and reinstalled assistant
4. Google App was updated, so uninstalled updates (this caused Assistant to stop working)
5. Disabled Google App, will not let me uninstall it
6. Re-enabled and Re-Updated Google App, so I could see if the events still show in Assistant

After all this, the deleted appointments still show!

I have clicked on Send Feedback in the app several times, but no one responds to my feedback.

The appointments repeat every workday indefinitely so, I'll have to deal with this problem forever unless I can find a fix, or switch to a device with Siri or Cortana, which I don't really want to do, but I need my agenda to work.

This is a known issue  that the team is investigating

Unfortunately, that still leaves me wanting to switch to another assistant, such as Cortana (damn you Google for making me deal with the Evil Empire!)

Is there any work arounds for the time being? I have the same issue and google assistant lists off all my previous recurring events.

I have the same issue! I even tried the "remove calendar" option and these events are still there. The worst thing is I didn't set the end date of the recurring events.

I'm still having these issue with my assistant, it reads deleted events no matter what. Also if you search for those events in https://calendar.google.com/ it shows up in the search box but you can't access them Failed to load search result.

Same for me - event shows up in search, so it is somewhere deep in calendar, but Failed to load search result.

I have the same issue but I can't find the event in calendar, it appears only in assistant. Very annoying because shows as the first event.
