Google Mini is asking "When is the event?" when trying to start previously working bedtime routines 1 Recommended Answer 2 Replies 4 Upvotes

I have routines set up to set the kid's room lights to certain colors and levels, as well as start their bedtime music. A few weeks ago, Google started asking "Sure. When is the event?" when I start them via their assigned names. I have tried the original naming format (Bedtime for Name), as well as changing it to (Name's Bedtime). Both are triggering the same thing.

The strange thing is, the routing runs. The lights turn on and off, change color, speaker volumes change, and music starts, but while doing so, the Mini repeatedly asks "Sorry, I didn't get that. When is the event?". I can tell it cancel, but it continues until the routing is completed.

I haven't seen anything online on this. It does the same thing on multiple Minis (we have them scattered throughout the house).

I found a single Reddit thread on the issue, but the user never received a response. I also tried removing the word "time" from the routine name. It is now (Name To Bed) and it is still doing it.

I checked my activity and it is hit and miss. It shows the routines running, but doesn't always show that it recognized the hotwords configured. I noticed it was showing a few reminders that I thought had been marked as complete, but they were still listed, so I deleted those. Still not working.
