"Ok Google" forces my phone to stay awake 0 Recommended Answers 3 Replies 7 Upvotes

I've got a OnePlus 6T running Android 9.0

So last night I've put the airplane mode to the phone. It was at around 60% battery. After that, I've set an alarm on my G Home Mini.

The morning after, my phone was at 1%. Just 1%. With Google on the foreground. More than 7 hours straight, with Google trying to hear something, hear someone giving it a command. With a chance of having screen burn-in and battery... Well, drained.

So I've done some testing. And this does not apply to only Airplane Mode, but pretty much to all the times Google gets triggered when my device is locked but then just hears nothing. And giving the million times Google gets triggered with just "OK" (but that's a side note), I could pretty much end with a phone that stays awake a lot of hours.

This needs definitely a fix

Google version: 10.65.11.21
Google Play Services: 19.2.75

Yes I started seeing this on my Pixel 3XL a couple of months ago. Worse thing is that it keeps my screen turned on for the whole night draining the battery. As it is the battery on this phone sucks.
