Google assistant crashes and freezes when using on new Galaxy s10 plus 1 Recommended Answer 68 Replies 69 Upvotes
Brand new galaxy s10 plus. After updating the Google app to the most recent version (Sept 2019) as well as updating the most recent version of Google assistant from the play store, accessing the Google assistant caused my phone to freeze and required a soft reset in order to regain function. Repeating this process after restart caused the same issues. The app would crash and the entire phone would essentially freeze up. I cleared data; cleared app cache for both apps. I even performed multiple factory resets, but the problem continues to return every time I update the Google app and assistant. When I revert back to the older version, Google assistant seems to work fine. I am wondering if this is an issues with the fact that the S10 has google assistant pre-installed, and perhaps it is not working well with the new version from the play store? Anyone else have this issue and find a solution, thanks
