Pixel stays on after saying OK Google

In my home when I say Ok Google my google homes spring to life and start listening, at the same time my Pixel phone also starts to listen.

After completing my request depending on whichever device heard me clearer/closer it is the one to answer. However for some reason, my phone will sometimes be stuck in the 'listening' mode and never turn off the screen unless I manually turn off/exit the mode. Even when it is stuck in this mode giving it a command/asking a question does not prompt the normal assistant response. It just stays on the listening mode

I have exactly the same issue. Using Android 10 on a Pixel 3a.

Here to report the same thing. Been going on for a while. I tried following the steps recommended by James to no avail. A constant microphone listening when not prompted makes me uncomfortable. This issue needs to be addressed.

> select 3 lines (Hamburger) in upper left of screen > send Feedback > enter information > Send Send

Thanks James! Actually, I have reached out to Google before but we have yet to find a solution that works. Will update in this thread should anything be noted.

What happens if you turn Continued Conversation setting OFF. Or if OFF, turn ON, wait a few minutes and turn it OFF.

I have the same issue. It happens more often at work were the phone might not have good network reception.

Same issue, OnePlus 6T android 9. The screen stays on after the assistant pops on a "ok Google" but my Google home answers instead of my phone. I have to turn off the screen manually.

Exactly the same issue. I've had it for like a month. I'm pretty sure it's not because of the phone since it happens in my both devices (Pixel 2 XL Android 10 & Lenovo K4 Note Android Pie).
